Joyeux Cafe

Joyeux Cafe definitely fits the old saying "never judge a book by it's cover." From the outside, it looks like a cute little cafe French Cafe but with vines on the wall and coffee tables outside. Their menu on the other hand, has a little bit of everything. Sandwiches, omelets, rice dishes and pho.
A friend of mine finally convinced me to try Joyeux and after a long day of shopping
Their menu has a wide range of dishes, it was difficult to decide what to order.
The place is very busy Monday to Friday, and it can be hard to find a seat.

They have pictures of  a lot of the dishes, as well as daily specials.
With so many choices, I decided to stick with my usual favorite,Bun Bo Hue

The Bun Bo Hue had plenty of noodles, on top of a variety of pork, and meat slices. The mildly spicy soup had a light broth, faint notes of lemon grass and beef stock, it was very enjoyable. I ordered a large and there was plenty of noodles and reasonable amount of meats.

Overall
Large menu, there's something for everyone
Prices are reasonable (under $10)
Quick service

  2. I was expecting a Vietnamese version of a Chinese-Canadian restaurant of some sort.
    A pleasant surprise!
